Puremagic, in association with IKSA and all our partners is very, very happy and proud to announce the BATTLE OF THE BAY 08!!

The fight is on again...

At the program of these 2 magic days (7-8th June), we will hopefuly this year have some winds and sun on Dolly to welcome the best show ever done by the best kitesufers of the Country and Beyond!
A freestyle comp will be run with the usual Pro- Amateurs- Girls and a big Race is organised and open to all on the Sunday!!!

Beside the competition, you are all welcome to come on the beach and enjoy the great Dub atmosphere plus all the surprises we prepared for you!!!
Demo of all the new toys by all our partners F-one/ Best/ Cabrinha/ North/ Slingshot/ etc..etc.. Everyone will be here! then BBq and drinks with mega funky Djs will pimp this event to make sure that everyone will remember it for a long time! And believe us you will stay up for long as our Partner Redbull will be very generous on the beach to spread the Energy Wink

Then as usual, we celebrate our anniversary in the same time so we will throw all day long surprises there and there and of course will keep the best for the nite time in 4dame lane!!! We do not change a Winning Team and this is why we are happy to go back to this great venue for few drinks to share between friends!!!

To come back on the competition side: the freestyle comp has no longer secret for the irish riders so all the heats will be organised on the saturday!
On the pro, the man to beat is Mr Armstrong who gonna has to fight hard against the rest of all the other young guns like Sean Murphy, Diarmuid Higgins, Ross harte, Olivier or Ian and others from the North! You can definitively bring your camera to record big FAT moves...but also BIG FAT WIPE OUTS!!! It s gonna be so bloody!!!!
Amateur wise, looking at the prize range of last year, and knowing that we always do better and better, we are sure that we will have loads of c ompetitors entering for the fun but also to push their level with some insane loops and kiteloops! Nailer is the man to beat from last comp but there is a big crew waiting at the door!!! and looking at some of the riders from Dolly waking up at 6am to train, I would say that there again ITS gonnnaa be bloodddyy!!! I am so excited just to think about it Wink
Talking about excitement, on the Girls side, as usual...It s gonna be again very noisy and they will make a break chatting for some hardcore Heats: IT S NOT lIKE THE FASHION SHOW IN SLIGO few weeks ago!!! if you know what I mean ladies! Wink so good luck to all our angels to put a bit of style in this rough men's world!!!

Again Everyone is welcome and invited to participate to this big celebration of kitesurfing...there will be also no loosers cause everyone will come back home..with a good ...headache from sat nite...oups no, I mean good memories and of course supa nice gifts!!! But I don t want to say too much about that yet cause we have new sponsors joining every day Wink this is Magiiiicccc!

Another word about the Race! the idea of this race is to put everyone : pros, amateurs, girls, novices, dogs, birds, french, polish, irish, and whoever wants, ALL TOGETHER in the same time on the water for a very simple Race: 1 Starting point, 1 Arrival...70 kites in the air!!! and no need to land your slim Mob Kgb pass to have the chance to be on the podium!! Its all about speed Wink
More info will come these next days about details on the comp, and hopefully we will be able to do registration on line. I would actually say pre-registration cause we only have 50 rooms max for the freestyle event.

Entry Fee for comp: 50 € including your bag of goodies plus drinks/ Bbq , entry for the race, and all others surprises
Cash Prize for the pro, Prizes For EVERY competitors including shiny funky brand new 08 boards, harnesses, wetsuits etc etc...

Entry Fee for race: 15 € (including also Tshirts and others surprise + Prize!)

Every Rider must be IKSA member and we will have a IKSA Stand over there if you need more Info! Again we will welcome everyone on our fantastic Dollymount spot, the idea is to show how great is our sport to the public and to spread our passion..with the smile and the respect of everyone else!! ( and the local rules Wink he he...)

So get ready, get better, wake up earlier to ride, start to take your vitamins cause you will need some big Energy!!!
